Tuesday Canal Report

Wow, low turnout.  As proof, check out the parking lot and you can tell it's late because Corvair is already there.  Note too that Poobah stole the ride leader's spot yet again.  Someone is bringing Vasoline next week and will give each door handle and wiper blades a good lathering.

Rex and Dean were there to give the B group some quality.

For awhile, it appeared Steve would be the lone A cyclist but UPS Scott and Randy Brown rolled in late so the A group shoved off with 5 guys.  The B group had a decent turnout of around 15 that included Claude, Eric the Dispatch photographer, Katherine, Corvair, Rex, Dean, Poobah, the Rossi's, Andrew C, etc... so we headed out on a very hilly route.....

....until having survive the hills, we reached the Ridge Road and Cedar Hill Road corner.  The way back would be flatish and into a strong head wind so we waited and waited, all eyes glued to the east where a spot began to take on greater mass and shape and sure enough....

.....the Rossi tandem came chugging through.  Why fight that wind as singles when we can just slot in behind the tandem?  Finished with 39 miles and a 19.3 average.
