![]() While most of you know me to be a beacon of hope, a fountain of optimism and one who radiates good cheer; even I must admit things look grim for this evening's ride. What the heck is it with Thursday and thunderstorms? Well, below are the routes and who knows, maybe a window will open and we can ride. 6:00pm, Heit Center, New Albany, as usual. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/19449128 https://ridewithgps.com/routes/19449174 https://ridewithgps.com/routes/19449217

I agree. I think mainly because I rode this morning so that guarantees clearing for the group ride. Kind of like how buying a snow blower works..guarantees no heavy snow for years.

So I ride in a pouring rain from Granville, actually having fun and enjoying myself like a little kid, then I arrive to the Heit Center at 6:04 to NO RIDERS! WTF - folks not going to ride because of a little liquid sunshine? I quickly found out why I was enjoying myself on the way to NA...as I departed into a massive headwind I was really wishing a few riders stuck around to draft off someone back to Granville. Regardless I was bound and determined to at least climb Alward Road and Beech Road before making my way home...by the time I got to Moots Run the roads were dry. Glad I got my ride in.

I can verify the above wild claim. As I was driving from NA, in pouring rain, I did see HFP Man going the other direction, on his bike. I turned to catch and take a picture but my car's engine was not powerful enough.
