 The Thursday New Albany route and oh what a route. The tricky descent on Morse into the valley before the sharp climb out of it, the Hankinson climb, ouch the Welsh Hills climb, all in 51 miles. I hear last week the A groupies were missing turns and no one knew the route. Remember too to print your own map.

Incredible turn out for this ride...amazing how large the A group is now and how long it stayed together, nearly to Welsh Hills Road. After the ride I stopped at the Gas Station next to Harrison Road and out jumped a local (out of a huge 4x4) just going on this rant about these ridiculous cyclists in a pack riding 2 abreast going up Jersey Mill (nearly 70 he said). First he was ranting on his phone then hung up and the two employees taking a smoke break in front got to hear the rest of the rant. He assured them next time he putting them in the ditch...as he said "mother f____kers don't have no chance against my truck". I was so tempted to go ask him why he was soooo angry about this minimal delay to get to the gas station but then when he came out with his 24 of Busch it all made sense...I'd be pissed too if something got in the way of my Busch ;) but I was enjoying the afterglow of a great ride and decided to just head on down the road to Granville in peace.
