It was touch and go but after weeks of negotiating and a payment or two under the table, Shannon Kurek was convinced to again lead the COP, New Albany Thursday evening ride. You remember, the one with a 60 mile route one evening, the one where the stars of Central Ohio gather, the domain of the New Albany Yankee-like cyclists, the taker oners of all who show....yes, that ride. Now for the bad news. Shannon will have to miss a few Thursdays to manage his tri events, maybe as many as 8. However, here is the worse news, I will be there as a poorly equipped sub but with the same maps that Shannon would have put out so all is mostly good. See you out there in a couple of months.

Exciting news! I plan to make it out to more New Albany rides. Is the 60-mile route usually in the summer?

No, we do that 60 mile ride on January 17th at 6:00pm with bike lights. Will you be there? In the summer, we only ride 20-25 mile routes cause it gets dark so early.

Am I at the correct place? Not seeing anyone. This blog needs to do a better job verifying ride info. posts. This is going to be one long, lonely, cold, dark ride.

This is all my fault. I am out of town and should have made a last minute cancellation. I feel badly that you were there and I bet Corvair was lurking around there somewhere to see who all showed up. I promise to do better for next Thursday. 6:00pm start again?

Oh snap, somone showed up for a 60 miler yesterday? Nope I wasn't lurking, worked the 2nd job. I have been known to fill in for Cindy on occasion as far as lurking goes....she is my idol :)
