Lightning struck this mesquite tree at a friend's house so took a few hours the day before our drive to cut out the dead limbs. Next day....

....took a pic of our thriving garden, jumped in the SUV and....

....began our drive, passing Picacho Peak......

...drove briefly through a rather desolate area of Utah....

....passed through spectacular scenery in Utah....

...ascended a mountain and passed through it.....

....arrived in Salt Lake City after a long day of driving!

Monday now and we had a short day of driving, spending the night in Butte before....

....continuing on to Lakeside for lunch and then arrived in Whitefish! Much more to come.
