Sixteen of us gather on a great morning for a ride that can be squeezed in before the Buckeye game if you are so inclined. Some of the usual suspects were absent, no doubt preparing to attend the game or getting an early start at the bar. We roll out, navigate the twists and turns of New Albany and are soon..... ....a rambling wreck from Georgia Tech. OK, not exactly but had to work in the football reference. Brent on the right, trailing Kyle and French Climbing Machine. We were approaching my turnaround point, 25 miles distant from the parking lot when..... ....Kim discovered she had a slow leak in the rear tire. I would have thought..... ....Decent Dan would leap at the opportunity to burnish his bona fides as a decent man but no, he kept his distance. Instead, it was.... ....Gus who gave the assist. Happy to have not missed the excitement, I headed back, although reaching Gale, I gave up on the full return had convinced my wife to drive me back! Finished with a mere 35 miles. Well, Monday ride option coming... Marty Sedluk, has created this route for us to follow, Saturday morning, 8:00am from in front of Starbucks. Please note however, if out of force of habit, you find yourself in the Philip Heit Center parking lot, bewildered cause no one else is there, we will sweep through that parking lot on our way out. Think about having two groups, an A and B group, each holding to a true A and B pace. I don't enjoy whining or cajoling to try to rein in those who prefer a faster pace. Or, stick to what we have been doing, B pace for all with a few regroups.
